AMERICAN ILLUSTRATION 31: selected to appear in the annual book

We are very proud to inform you that our artwork "pregnant" (The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood) has been selected by the jury of the AMERICAN ILLUSTRATION 31 competition to appear in the AI 31 annual book. From 8,000 pictures entered by over 1,200 illustrators, the jury selected by a majority vote or better only 439 images to appear in the book and represent the best pictures from 2011. This year’s distinguished jury included Jen Bekman, 20x20; Steven Charny, Rolling Stone; Mia Song, Men's Health; John Gall, Random House; Aviva Michaelov, The New York Times; Veronica Reo, Young & Rubicam; Paul Sahre, O.O.P.S.

AI 31 will be printed in full color and distributed worldwide in hardcover immediately after The Party, November 9, 2012 - the annual book launch event in New York City that celebrates the winners. Invitations with details will be sent later in the year. A slide show announcement showcasing the winning images will be sent to all entrants and to member list of over 30,000 creative professionals in May. The slide show will be available from the Call For Entries page until the permanent posting on The Archive this November. More information
